This is an area to post news about the LUG. It's using Wikilog so you can subscribe to the news via RSS or Atom by clicking on the feed button under Toolbox on the left. Also please feel free to edit the content as news comes up. As every other part of this site, this is here for the LUG community to edit and maintain.

January 2010 News
Happy New Years!
The LUG is entering its 4th year, and with it comes a new website that hopefully will help keep the group moving forward.
New Website
The biggest change is moving from Joomla! to MediaWiki. Joomla! is great for a site ran by a select view, but the LUG site needs to be open for anyone in the group to update and modify content as needed. It's been setup so if you have an account on the PhpBB forum you can use those same credentials on the Wiki. The only caveat is you'll need to be in a special group in phpBB to edit the Wiki, which is there to avoid spammers from gaining access. If you're new and need to edit the Wiki but can't, email Sam Alexander and it'll be opened up to you.
Also Casey (lobster_roboto) has given us space in his datacenter in Houston for the site.
