Heart of Texas Linux Users Group is open to anyone, regardless of whether you're across the county or across the country. The group's goal is to advocate Free and Open Source Software.

How to Join There's no formal process to join, you can either just start coming to meetings, join the HOTLUG Message Forum, or even hang-out in the HOTLUG IRC Channel. You can be as involved or as invisible as you'd like.

Benefits For anyone interested, below is a list of resources we offer:

• SSH account with most common command line applications (just request if you want something not installed)

Cost Nothing... We only ask that if you use some of our resources that you contribute back to the group by sharing your knowledge and experience. A community like this is only as good as its members, so we hope everyone involved will share what they've learned about open source software and advocate it to their friends and family.
